About Us

Our History

Twinbrook Assisted Living was established in 1982 by Bryan and Phyllis McCoy who were pioneers in the long-term care industry in Louisville, Kentucky.  They opened the first modern nursing home in Louisville in 1960 and dedicated their lives to caring for Louisville’s elderly citizens.   Bryan McCoy’s legacy continues through his family’s continued operation of Twinbrook Assisted Living.  Phyllis at age 94 continues to be a valuable part of the operations as she has for over 64 years.  We are truly invested in maintaining the highest level of satisfaction of our residents and their families.
Our facility is well maintained and is regularly updated to be competitive with newer facilities.  The facility underwent an extensive renovation several years ago.  Each apartment received new kitchen cabinets, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, a tiled, walk-in shower, new lighting, new vinyl flooring and carpeting and fresh paint in modern colors. Common areas such as living rooms, the library, the exercise room, the dining room and hallways have been updated as well. We couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome, and we’re sure you will be too. Here at Twinbrook Assisted Living, we have a passion for helping Louisville’s seniors live their lives to the fullest and a sincere commitment to providing the best care.
